THE MUSEUM OF FLORIDA ART AND CULTURE AT SOUTH FLORIDA STATE COLLEGE HAS REOPENED AND HAS THEIR ANNUAL JURIED STUDENT ART SHOW ON NOW!  THE STUDENT SHOW WILL BE UP INTUL OCTOBER 1. THE LOWER LOBBY IS ALSO FEATURING THE ARTWORK OF JOHN COSTIN AND HIS LARGE FLORIDA BIRDS SERIES. MUSEUM HOURS ARE 12:30 – 4:30, WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

HIGHLANDS HAMMOCK STATE PARK IS OPEN AGAIN FOR DAY USE ACTIVITIES.  THE CCC MUSEUM WILL STAY CLOSED A WHILE LONGER, AND RESTROOM AVAILABILITY MAY BE LIMITED. ALL OTHER PARK FACILITIES ARE CLOSED.  COME VISIT HIGHLANDS HAMMOCK, BUT PLEASE KEEP DISTANCES OF AT LEAST SIX FEET APART AND LIMIT GROUPS TO TEN OR LESS.

 

BIKE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!   HIGHLANDS PEDALERS HOSTS RIDES FROM THE DIMITRI’S PARKING LOT DOWNTOWN EACH SATURDAY MORNING. THE RIDES DEPART AT 7:15 A.M. SHARP YEAR ROUND.  THE “A” GROUP RIDES AT OVER 19 MILES AN HOUR, THE “B” GROUP RIDES AT  BETWEEN 17 ½ AND 19 MILES AN HOUR … SATURDAY RIDES RANGE FROM 33-45 MILES.

 

ADVENT HEALTH INVITES YOU TO JOIN THE SECOND ANNUAL HEARTLAND RACE SERIES.  RUN OR WALK IN SIX OF EIGHT RACES TO QUALIFY, AND THE TOP 3 FINISHERS OF EACH AGE GROUP WILL RECEIVE AN AWARD AND PRIZE.  REGISTER ONLINE AT CFS-TIMING.COM.  RACES ARE SCHEDULED FROM AUGUST THROUGH DECEMBER.

THE SEBRING SODA FEST – FLORIDA’S FIZZIEST FESTIVAL – WILL BE BACK APRIL 2-4, 2021!  THEY’VE DECIDED TO KEEP THE SODA FEST A SPRING EVENT INSTEAD OF MOVING TO FALL, SO PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW AND PLAN ON THE FUN, NEXT APRIL!
